Aaron Chapman
Aaron Chapman is originally from Russellville, in Hamblen County. He attended Morristown East High School and graduated with Honors from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Business Administration, majoring in Public Administration. He was a four-year University Honors Scholar and later earned the degree of Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he earned the W.K. McClure Fellowship Award for International Studies and the Robert Ritchie Scholarship for Commitment to Public Service. While in law school, Aaron studied abroad, completing courses in International Trade Law and International Corporate Governance in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Aaron has practiced law in East Tennessee since 2009. Upon graduating law school, Aaron worked in a law firm in the Tri-Cities region before founding his own firm in 2010. Aaron is admitted to practice in all Tennessee Courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Aaron has represented clients in local, state, and federal courts across nearly twenty counties (and 8 Judicial Districts) in East Tennessee, and he has handled federal appeals in the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit located in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Aaron is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Board of Governors and also represents the Third Judicial District in the TBA’s House of Delegates, which debates and decides public policy on behalf of the organization. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Legal Aid of East Tennessee since 2022 and previously served as City Attorney for a local community for 6 years. He is a former President of the Hamblen County Bar Association.
